Cat Age Calculator (Cat to Human Years)
Cats don’t age at a simple “1 year = 7 human years” rate. This Cat Age Calculator uses a more realistic curve so you can see your cat’s approximate age in human years and which life stage it’s in right now.

How to read your cat’s “human age”
1. Early years are faster
Kittens and young cats “age” much faster in human-year terms during the first 1–2 years. That’s why a 1-year-old cat often behaves like a teenage human.
2. Adult years slow down
Once your cat reaches early adulthood, each calendar year adds fewer “human years” than during the kitten stage, but health checks are still critical.
3. Senior cats need closer follow-up
As your cat enters senior years, weight changes, appetite shifts, mobility issues or litter box changes are more important to track and discuss with your vet.
